Blast Digivolve evolves one of your Digimon into the card from your hand without paying the cost, usually off a counter-timing trigger on your opponent's turn. A surprise evolution mid-attack can drop a blocker or a deletion effect right when they committed. Decks built around it hold the piece in hand and dare the opponent to swing first.
