When an Armor Purge Digimon would be deleted, you can trash its top card instead and drop back to whatever form is underneath. Armor lines are built exactly for this, evolving a cheap armor form onto a real stack so removal only peels one layer. It works against any deletion, not just battle, which is what makes these decks so annoying to grind through.
16-19-1. <Armor Purge> is a keyword effect. When a Digimon with <Armor Purge> would be deleted, by trashing the top card of the Digimon with this effect, this effect prevents the deletion. 16-19-2. <Armor Purge> is an immediate-type effect that triggers when the Digimon with this effect would be deleted. (For details, refer to 15-8-5 "Immediate-Type Effects") 16-19-3. "By trashing the top card of the Digimon" in <Armor Purge> is an optional processing condition. If the content of that condition is executed, the processing for "prevents the deletion" will be mandatory.
