When a Raid Digimon attacks, you can switch the target to your opponent's unsuspended Digimon with the highest DP. That turns things they thought were safe while standing into attack targets, effectively free removal stapled to your aggression. It's optional, so take the trade when it's good and hit security when it isn't.
16-23-1. <Raid> is a keyword effect that can switch the target of attack to the opponent's unsuspended Digimon with the highest DP when a Digimon with this keyword effect attacks. 16-23-2. <Raid> is a trigger-type effect that triggers when a Digimon with this effect attacks. (For details, refer to 15-8-3 "Trigger-Type Effects") 16-23-3. The processing from <Raid> is optional. 16-23-4. If the opponent has multiple unsuspended Digimon with the highest DP when <Raid> activates, the player that activated the effect chooses a Digimon from among them and the attack target is switched to it.

I have this card in the battle area, and it's suspended. If my opponent's Digimon attacks my suspended Digimon, can my opponent use <Raid> on the attacking Digimon to switch the target of the attack to my unsuspended Digimon?
Yes, they can. This card's <Opp Turn> effect only allows suspended Digimon to be chosen as the attack target upon the attack declaration. After attacking a suspended Digmon, it will be possible to use <Raid> to switch the target of the attack to an opponent's unsuspended Digimon.

I have this card and EX8-065 [Ryutaro Williams] in the battle area. When this card attacks, I activate EX8-065 [Ryutaro Williams]'s <Your Turn> effect and digivolve this Digimon into a card in the hand. Can I then activate this card's <Raid> or <When Attacking> effect?
No, you can't. If an effect is lost while it's pending activation, it can no longer be activated.

If <Raid> switches the target of attack from a player to an opponent's Digimon, does the <Your Turn> effect in this card's inherited effects trigger?
No, it doesn't trigger.

When this card attacks, does its <Raid> or <When Attacking> effect activate first?
They trigger simultaneously, so the turn player chooses the effect to activate first. However, if you activate the <When Attacking> effect first and digivolve, <Raid> can no longer be activated.

When a Digimon with attacks, does this card's effect stop "when this Digimon attacks" effects of those Digimon, such as <Raid>?
No, "When... attacks" effects are not <When Attacking> effects, so this card's effect can't stop them from activating.

Can this Digimon be attacked by my opponent’s Digimon with <Raid> or a “this Digimon can also attack unsuspended Digimon” effect?
Yes, it can. <Raid> and “this Digimon can also attack unsuspended Digimon” effects affect the attacking Digimon itself, so such effects aren't affected by "this Digimon isn't affected by the effects of your opponent's Digimon" effects.
Ruled Mar 28, 2024 · asked about Fanglongmon (EX5-074)
When "isn't affected by your opponent's effects" is gained from this card's <When Digivolving> effect, can the target of attack be switched to this Digimon using a "switch the target of attack" effect such as <Raid> on an opponent's Digimon?
Yes, it can. A "switch the target of attack" effect such as <Raid> affects the attacking Digimon itself, therefore the target of attack can be switched to a Digimon that isn't affected by effects.

If this card's <All Turns> effect is used to end an attack when a <Raid> effect has switched the target of attack, does the counter timing occur?
No, it doesn't. This effect forces the attack to end, therefore the end of attack timing occurs as soon as the effect activates. If activation occurs before the counter timing, the counter timing and following procedures aren't performed.
