When an Alliance Digimon attacks, you can suspend another of your Digimon to add its DP to the attacker and tack on Security A. +1 for that attack. One swing carries two bodies' worth of stats plus an extra check. The suspended Digimon is exposed afterward, so save it for the turn you're actually closing, not for chip damage.

Alliance (When this Digimon attacks, by suspending 1 of your other Digimon, add the suspended Digimon's DP to this Digimon and it gains <Security A. +1> for the attack.)
16-24-1. <Alliance> is a keyword effect. When a Digimon with this effect attacks, by suspending 1 of your other Digimon, add the suspended Digimon's DP to the attacking Digimon and it gains <Security A. +1> for the attack. 16-24-2. <Alliance> is a trigger-type effect that triggers when a Digimon with this effect attacks. (For details, refer to 15-8-3 "Trigger-Type Effects") 16-24-3. "By suspending 1 of your other Digimon" in <Alliance> is an optional processing condition. If the content of that condition is executed, the processing for "when a Digimon with this effect attacks, by suspending 1 of your other Digimon, add the suspended Digimon's DP to the attacking Digimon and it gains <Security A. +1> for the attack" will be mandatory.
