Evade trades a suspend for your Digimon's life: when it would be deleted, you suspend it instead and it stays on the board. The catch is that a suspended Digimon is an open target and can't block, so Evade is really a delay, not immunity. It shines on bodies you plan to digivolve next turn anyway, since surviving one removal is often all the time you need.
16-22-1. <Evade> is a keyword effect. By suspending a Digimon with this effect when it would be deleted, this effect prevents the deletion. 16-22-2. <Evade> is an immediate-type effect that triggers when the Digimon with this effect would be deleted. (For details, refer to 15-8-5 "Immediate-Type Effects") 16-22-3. "By suspending a Digimon with this effect" in <Evade> is an optional processing condition. If the content of that condition is executed, the processing for "prevents the deletion" will be mandatory.
