De-Digivolve trashes cards off the top of an opponent's stack, knocking their Digimon back down to an earlier form and stripping the inherited effects on the way. It undoes turns of their setup and often drops a body into range of your other removal. It can't touch level 3 or below, so treat it as a tempo tool that sets up the kill rather than the kill itself.
16-12-1. <De-Digivolve> is a keyword effect where the player declares a number from 1 up to the number specified in the effect, then the declared number of cards are trashed from the chosen stack(s) of cards starting with the top card. This is shown on cards using text such as <De-Digivolve 1>. 16-12-2. <De-Digivolve> effects execute processing. 16-12-3. The trashing from <De-Digivolve> is mandatory. Once activated, a player can't choose to trash 0 cards. 16-12-4. <De-Digivolve> can't trash cards from level 3 cards or lower.
